Thaioil selects Avantium to perform independent catalyst testing evaluation

Aug 21, 2019

Thaioil has selected Avantium Catalysis to perform independent catalyst evaluation of Naphtha Reforming catalysts to support the catalyst selection for their CCR unit.

Avantium’s Flowrence® 16-parallel reactors system with individual temperature-control and unmatched discrimination capabilities allowed Thaioil to compare several catalysts options with their incumbent with as little as 20 L sample of their hydrotreated naphtha. Avantium was well able to discriminate the various catalyst options by providing extremely precise and repeatable C5+ yields, total aromatics and hydrogen-produced data as well as stability of the catalysts at constant RON output and complete PIONA breakdown with time on stream.

Thaioil stated “we are impressed with the accuracy and speed in which Avantium has been able to deal with our requests!”

We are pleased to be a trusted partner of Thaioil for independent catalyst evaluations. Avantium is committed to providing customers meaningful results to enable fact-based decisions and ultimately increase their competitiveness and profitability.

Choosing the best catalyst is of crucial importance to the profitability of refineries, as it represents a great opportunity to increase refining margins.
