Avantium qualified by Axens to test Selective Acetylene Hydrogenation Catalysts
Avantium, a leading technology company in renewable chemistry and catalysis R&D systems and services, announces that its wholly owned subsidiary, Avantium Catalysis, has been qualified by Axens to test Selective Acetylene Hydrogenation Catalysts.
Axens, an international provider of advanced technologies, catalysts, adsorbents, and services has qualified Avantium to perform independent testing of commercial Selective Acetylene Hydrogenation Catalysts following a thorough qualification program under industrially relevant conditions.
Avantium executes the tests in a tailored unit of its Flowrence® high-throughput 16-parallel-reactor systems allowing the evaluation of commercial shapes, under industrial conditions, and facilitating the discrimination of catalysts with similar performance by providing accurate, repeatable and reproducible Operating Window results.
“We are very happy to have collaborated with Axens for this qualification. This will help Axens serving their customers and increases our catalyst testing services portfolio. We have worked with Axens before, obtaining qualifications for reforming and isomerization catalysts testing. It is a pleasure to work with Axens and I hope we can continue to support their business with the high-quality results we promise.” says Tiago Vilela, BD Director Catalyst Testing of Avantium.
Avantium’s Flowrence® parallel fixed bed reactor platform is a leading advanced high-throughput family of systems for high-quality testing of catalysts and adsorbents. This proven technology generates extremely accurate, repeatable and reproducible data, it is optimally configured for side-by-side catalyst performance tests, and it can be used for a broad range of industrial applications. The combination of Avantium’s broad knowledge of applications and the Flowrence® Technology creates a powerful, cost-efficient method of evaluating catalysts, while significantly reducing the time to bring new products to the market.
