Avantium R&D Solutions leads successful Direct Air Capture experiment for Origen Carbon

Avantium R&D Solutions is pleased to announce the successful completion of a Direct Air Capture (DAC) screening project for Origen Carbon, a leading innovator in the direct air capture sector. The project, conducted using Avantium R&D Solutions’ innovative high-throughput multi-column system, aimed to assess the performance of Origen Carbon’s materials for CO2 adsorption.

Direct Air Capture is crucial in combating climate change by removing CO₂ directly from the atmosphere. This technology uses chemical or physical methods to capture CO₂, which can then be stored or utilized. Avantium R&D Solutions’ high-throughput testing platform accelerates the development of better materials for CO₂ adsorption, addressing challenges such as higher capacity and energy efficiency.

Avantium’s advanced high-throughput system has proven to be highly effective for this type of testing, showcasing its ability to efficiently and accurately assess the performance of direct air capture materials. The insights gained from this experiment will be invaluable in enhancing Origen Carbon’s innovative solutions.
